What is the advantage of using Nano-Tech Bio-Media?
Answer: It has a high rate of bettering ammonia into nitrogen (NH4-N) and transforming nitrate into nitrogen -

Can Bio-Spheres be used for aquariums?
Answer: Yes, it can be used for aquariums and each Bio-Sphere corresponds to 54-580 square feet of filtration area -

What is the weight of the product?
Answer: The packing of Nano-Tech Bio-Media is 1 kg. -
Question:
For a reef tank does it need to be completely submerged or can it be used as a wet/Dry media?
Answer: These work great in wet/dry trickle type filters. So you can use them either way. You'll actually get a much higher aerobic bacteria base in a wet/dry. Doing fully submerged will be less aerobic, but you pickup some anaerobic properties. If you like using a wet/dry filter now though these will outperform bio-balls or bio-bale type plastic media. -
Question:
Do these come with the net bag?
Answer: My product did not have a net bag. -
Question:
Would 1x box be enough for a reef tank 100 gallons?
Answer: Yes, one box will treat 750gallons as fresh/salt. So Saltwater is often less coverage, so i would say one box would handle 200g easily on saltwater. -
Question:
Nitrates- Will these help lower nitrates creating more surface area for beneficial bacteria to colonize?
Answer: Yes and no honestly. These will trap some detritus and as such could have an impact on nitrates. What I do is leave in the bag then every 4 months when cleaning the tank I dip and shake them in a bucket of SW I've removed from tank. Keeps bacteria alive and gets rid of any build up between the balls. -
Question:
Do they dust like ones from Cer Media?
Answer: No there is no dust at all. I got rid of all my CerMedia because of the dust and they were mostly dissolving. The Nanotech is still very porous but more tightly made. Does not have any shed any dust.
