If you need a heavy-duty, high-quality flush pull push-to-close latch, the Southco M1-61-8 Series is a great option. Made of electropolished stainless steel 316, it looks great, lasts long, and holds up well in harsh marine environments. The latch has a non-locking mechanism that works well for doors, hatches, or lids that don't require high-level security. It can accommodate a range of panel thickness from 0.75" to 0.275", and has a grip range of 0.98" to 1.02". One thing to note is that the panel thickness range listed in the description is incorrect, it should be .075" to .275". Also, if you lose the back plates and screws, you may have to order the whole latch assembly to replace them, according to a customer's feedback. In terms of price, this product offers a great deal compared to what you would pay at a big-box marine store, according to another customer's feedback.
