Cold Steel Ice Spearing Equipment Editorial Review
The Cold Steel 95SCLB Samburu Spear has garnered a varied reception from its customers, reflecting both appreciation for its design and functionality as well as frustration over certain quality control issues. Users frequently commend the spear's balance, sharpness, and overall design, particularly in its ability to be both a hunting and throwing spear. Many note the excellent penetration of the spearhead and have found that, with adjustments or modifications, they can achieve impressive performance, such as successfully throwing through 1/4-inch plywood at a distance. However, a significant number of reviews highlight critical concerns related to the durabilities of its components. The hickory handle appears to be a common point of failure, with several users experiencing breakage upon throwing. Additionally, issues such as poorly finished welds and low-quality screws have emerged, leading to operational difficulties. Customers particularly lamented the lack of replaceable parts, such as a stronger handle option, as well as inConsistencies in product dimensions and sharpness upon arrival. Despite the spear's potential, several users express disappointment with their specific units. The necessity for DIY fixes and quality inConsistencies have overshadowed the spear's strengths for some, leading to a mixed overall reception. **
