Answer: I don't remember exactly but it fits perfectly inside the bell of my tenor sax. I have also the alto sax pouch, works great. -

Is it possible to insert the neck when attached to the mouthpiece?
Answer: No!!! (Band Director here) Don't ever do this to the mouthpiece. It will break and chip and/or grow a science experiment of disgusting stuff. The mouthpiece must be removed from the neck before storing your instrument every time. -

Answer: I think so. It is soft, it holds all of my stuff, it doesn't scratch the bell -- and it looks better than using an old sock!
