Answer: Do not store in water, it'll degrade. When you're done sharpening, take the stone out of the wooden holder, let it drip dry on a rack over a towel and then store it wrapped in a paper towel or newspaper page in your kitchen cabinet. -

Can this be used on a curved dagger type blade?
Answer: It can be used on any type of blade that is smooth and can touch the stone meaning no bread knife. In the case of a curved blade you’d have to sharpen it a section at a time.

It can be used on any smooth blade but curved blades need to be sharpened section by section. So, it is recommended for fine-tuning the blade rather than heavily damaged or pitted ones. However, it is a little messy to use. Customers have had mixed experiences with the product. Some had issues with chipped stones and bases while others praised how well packaged the product was. Some found the instructions easy to understand and others noted that it is necessary to have previous experience in manually sharpening knives. Some were satisfied with the product while others found it unable to sharpen well and a cause for making a mess. It also bleeds according to one customer.
