The Simplehuman Rectangular Dual Compartment Recycling Kitchen Step Trash Can is a well-designed and functional product perfect for households that are environmentally Conscious. It has a brushed stainless steel exterior and comes with two white plastic bags, one for trash and one for recycling. The interior trashcan dimensions of the trash can are 23 1/4 H 17 W 9 1/2 D while the exterior dimensions are 25 3/4 H 19 3/8 W 10 D. The inside basket is black plastic and quite strong, fitting snugly into the steel outer can, with a hard black plastic lid. The black lid is thin and flush with the sides, making it difficult for pets to open. It is great for recyclables such as milk gallons and can also be used for trash or small wastebaskets. It is easy to clean and comes with a hard plastic lip that offers a good seal so that garbage does not fall down inside.
