  • Question: Is this floor box made so I can recess the electric plug?

    Answer: Yes, it is made to have the plug recessed inside but you need to have the housing in place first that this fits into then you can place this flush to the floor.
  • Question: Is the cover made of solid brass or it’s plated?

    Answer: Per Bryant web page RF406BP is plated; Looks like RF406BR is solid brass but page does not say; the Hubbell RF406BR (looks like same box for retail and Bryant is part of Hubbell) is listed as solid brass.
  • Question: Will this fit in a Hubble concrete floor box?

    Answer: If I remember correctly, the Hubble is slightly smaller.
  • Question: Can this be installed on a raised foundation?

    Answer: Yes. The outlet needs to run in crawl space.
  • Question: Does this include all components needed to install?

    Answer: Yes; I only needed to change out the cover (brass to stainless) but this includes the whole kit.
  • Question: What floor box does this fit? Carlon? Arlington? Leviton. Something else?

    Answer: These floor outlets are made by Hubbell, and meant to be installed into the RF400 Hubbell concrete floor box, a round PVC box. Hope that helps.
  • Question: Will this cover work with the Hubbell-Raco 5511 non-metallic floor box?

    Answer: Most likely, the answer is no. Our electrician told us that the cover usually only fits on the same manufacturers box. The cover from one manufacturer will not fit on another manufacturer's box. Doesn't make sense that they are not universal but that's what we found when building our house.
