The Consew CSM1000 is a popular high torque D.C. electronic servo motor that is easy to adjust speed and motor direction with buttons. The motor only runs when needed, which makes it more energy efficient and saves up to 70% on electricity compared to clutch style motors. The CSM3000 is a larger motor with a 1 hp rating, but most people should find the CSM1000 sufficient for their sewing needs. Customers have reported smooth operation and easy speed adjustment. However, some have experienced grinding noises when moving the needle bar by hand and others have reported the motor jerking when sewing thick leather. The motor does not come with a foot pedal, but it does come with a rod to connect to an industrial table foot pedal. The installation instructions are very poor, but the motor is compatible with the same bolt holes as industrial sewing machine motors for easy installation.
